Olvera St.

                                                                      Shirt: Forever 21
Shorts: Flea Market
Shoes: Urban Outfitters
Hat: Ross

I went down to Olvera Street in Downtown LA to experience the historical part of LA and to complete my Spanish summer homework. The day turned out to be really nice, even though it was 90 degrees my parents and I walked around enjoying the cobblestone road and Mexican trinkets. My outfit was quite daring (wearing chunky flatforms on uneven raods is not the best idea) as I got plenty of stares from the workers and passerby. It was actually the first time I wore "heels" with shorts and I was scared people would think I was a young prostitue or something, but it turned out ok.

New York City Voyage!

Ever since I've seen shows like America's Next Top Model, Project Runway, and movies like The Devil Wears Prada, I've always wanted to go to New York. I mean come on! What aspiring fashionista doesn't want to go to the place where famous fashion magazines like Vogue are located!?

Well this past weekend i got the chance to go to Manhattan, New York, for business and to sight-see! Arriving at night to my hotel in Times Square, was definetly a sight to see! Neon signs where everywhere, flashing store names, and advertisements, which is all you see on the long crowded street other than humongous crowds of people taking pictures, eating and shopping! Taxi's and tour buses lined the busy streets, and random loud honks filled the air every now and then.

As I got nearer to Central Partk(a BEAUTIFUL park btw) high end fashion shops such as Prada, Louis Vuitton, and Diesel started to pop up, and gave the slightly depressing brick walls and skyscraping buildings a little flavor.
All in all, my kind of too short New York vacation was gratifying and exciting. I loved the cafes and many pizza shops but the many buildings and the rushing feel of everything, made everything seem slightly gloomy especially when the skies are gray. But, the great shopping area's and the expansive Central Park, makes up for the rushing and busy feel.
