DTLA- AA & CPK

In case you didn't decipher the very California acronyms: I went to Downtown LA (DTLA) to visit the American Apparel Flea Market (AA) and ended up at this cool shopping center where my friends and I had lunch at California Pizza Kitchen (CPK). I rarely venture down to dtla due to my sheltered upbringing and the constant thought of it being creepy and dirty. Well creepy and dirty are accurate descriptions of dtla, at least some parts, where you can see actual poverty (contrasting with the luxurious lofts and office buildings) with your own eyes. But I don't want to turn this blog post into a discussion about the unsettling socioeconomic state of California and how the homeless are treated like invisible people, so I'll end this post on a good note. (Okay, I did not realize how insensitive that last bit sounded until I wrote it out)...
I'll be posting my outfit from this day soon, and hopefully other "day-in-the-life post like this, will continue to appear on the blog! (If I don't forget to take pictures)

There is something I'm trying to find.

Pinafore: Tilly's
Shirt: H&M
Shoes: Tobi.com

I just realized how rebellious this outfit seems; wearing mostly black in the summer time. Wearing black clothes is just so easy to style, and you feel bad-ass in them too. I wore this to attend two grad-parties of my friends! The excitement and anxiety that runs through me about the future (i.e. college) are welcomed emotions because, it means that I am FINALLY done with high school.Hopefully this summer is a great way to transition from angsty teen to slightly more mature young adult.

It's been hella hot in Cali so here are some photos that will hopefully give you summer fashion inspiration and bring out the stomach tingling feeling of excitement that comes along with summer fun!

The last of it.

Jacket: Thrifted
Pinafore: Tilly's
Turtleneck: Thrifted
Shoes: Thrifted

This completes my Seattle posts! I'm sorry it took me so long to post, and I apologize for the lack of traditional outfit post...and just post in general. In the next few weeks, or days really, I will be finishing my senior year and graduating from high school! So as you can imagine I have been extremely busy with my future college plans, and just trying to enjoy these last few weeks of being a dependent teenager. To commemorate my graduation, my blog will also be receiving an update! For those who still read my blog, thanks for keeping up with my irregular posting. =)
